Pasta is the essence of Italian cooking. A few simple ingredients (flour, water and a little salt) are blended together to become a dish that’s extraordinary and delicious. Pasta is the pride of every Italian kitchen and the pride of Olive Garden, too.
Savor Olive Garden’s classic pasta favorites like lasagna, fettuccine, spaghetti, and penne. Or enjoy filled pastas bursting with flavorful ingredients like our Ravioli di Portobello. Olive Garden chefs are skilled at preparing perfect pastas and delicious sauces for you and your family.
How Pasta is Made
The best dried pasta is made from a yellow-white flour known as durum wheat semolina. The wheat is ground into semolina, mixed with water and left to harden. Before factory methods were invented, pasta would be left in the sun to dry; true pasta devotees believe that the rays of the Italian sun impart their own special flavor.
Pasta Shapes Make a Difference
Olive Garden uses different pasta shapes for a reason. Different shapes are better suited to hold different kinds of sauces. Wide noodles hold thicker sauces beautifully. Delicate pasta holds thinner sauces well. It’s our passionate attention to details like these that you’ll appreciate when you savor your favorite pasta dish.
